Shelton falls in Davis Cup; U.S. tied with Czechs

US Open finalist Ben Shelton struggled to dominate with his serve and lost 6-4, 6-4 to Jiri Lehecka as the Czech Republic drew level 1-1 with the United States in the last qualifying round for the Davis Cup Final 8.
Youth Tennis Registration

Youth Tennis Registration Now Open

Youth Tennis Registration is now open through Greater Wilmington Tennis Association, giving families in Wilmington, NC and the surrounding areas an opportunity to help young players get involved in the sport. These programs are designed to introduce tennis fundamentals, improve coordination, build confidence, encourage sportsmanship, and help children enjoy staying active.

Whether your child is brand new to tennis or already has experience on the court, youth tennis opportunities can help them continue developing their skills in a positive and supportive environment. Greater Wilmington Tennis Association encourages families to register early, ask questions, and explore the available youth tennis programs designed to support the next generation of local players.

The Greater Wilmington Tennis Association offers many opportunities year-round for children of all ages and levels to learn to play tennis or improve their level of play (beginner to advanced) Lessons and clinics are offered as individual classes and as 5 class sessions at Ogden Park weekly throughout the year. All programs listed are facilitated by coaches who are USTA Safe Play certified.
