USTA Singles League
SINGLES LEAGUE: (PLAY IN SOUTH EAST TENNIS IS EARLY JANUARY AND GOES THROUGH LATE FEBRUARY (6 to 7 weeks). This is a team format league where three to nine players comprise a team and each team match consists of three singles courts.
SINGLES LEAGUE LEVELS OFFERED
18 & Over: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
40 & Over: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5
55 & Over: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0
2.5 40 & over Singles is offered but no advancement.
Instructions for team registration:
USTA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: All players must be current members of the USTA through the respective league seasons. No renewals are allowed during the local league season. TennisLink will not let players register for a team without a current membership.
A player may join USTA or renew membership by going to usta.com/membership and click on Adult Membership, and then follow the links.
TENNISLINK
Rosters, scores and standings will be facilitated through TennisLink. Captains and players may access TennisLink via wilmingtontennis.com or by going to tennislink.usta.com. Local information is offered on the Wilmington site and the North Carolina site gives all the State information.
Captains must “Create a USTA Account” on the Home Page of TennisLink “login to your USTA Account”. It is just a matter of giving your USTA number and e-mail address. This gives captains information for their own team and other captains’ phone numbers.
TEAM ENTRY ON TENNISLINK: register in South East Tennis
Team registration for all leagues will be entered on TennisLink. Captains will create their team on TennisLink under Quick Links (Online Team Creation) and receive a team number. The team name must include the captain’s last name. USTA Guidelines limit team names to just captain’s name and possibly facility if needed.
HOME COURTS: If TennisLink will not let you add a home facility, click on independent, continue registration and contact me. I can make that affiliation. You can put a public facility as your home team preference, however, there is no guarantee that public teams will get all of their home matches at a specific site.
Each player is responsible for registering themselves on the team roster and paying their own fees via credit card. All fees will be paid directly to TennisLink.
AT LEAST 50% OF THE TEAM MUST BE ON NTRP LEVEL (with certain exceptions——at the discretion of the LLC, teams may have a slight variance).
PLAYER LEAGUE FEES:
($9.00 goes to NCTA, and the remainder will return to the local league to pay Court fees and administrative items). Individual players will not be responsible for additional court fees. (Make up matches should not have a court fee if played at the same location on the original schedule). If players choose to play at a different site, and fees are involved, those fees are the players’ responsibilities.
Singles League: $28 (plus $3.15 TennisLink Fee)
ROSTER DEADLINE: DECEMBER 21, 2025
Teams must have the minimum number of Three players registered by roster registration deadline. This number is the number of players required to field an entire scorecard for a match of a particular league. Additional players may be added throughout the league season.
